Trouble Shooting and Returns

Balista is our passion, we love fishing just as much as you do which is why we accept nothing less than 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not 100% satisfied with the performance of your Balista lure you can return your lure within 30 days for a full product refund. Every Balista comes with a 12 month warranty which we’ll go into in more detail below. The Tremor is covered firstly, then underneath is details on our LED models.

Tremor FAQ

Since the first release of the Tremor we have updated the instruction guide which not every customer will have. When you put your Tremor on charge a red light on top of the lure will come on to indicate that the lure is charging, when the lure is fully charged either a green light will come on OR the red charging light will turn off, either way it means the lure is fully charged. If you would like to test this theory put your Tremor in water for 10 minutes to drain the battery a little, once the lure has dried you can try recharging when the red charging light comes on then you know when the red light turns off that the battery is fully charged.

The Tremor can handle heaps of punishment but given the size and weight of the lure we can’t warrant any problems that stem from damage to the lure or bibs such as cracks, breakages etc. We understand the Tremor is an expensive lure if you do happen to break a lure whilst we won’t be able to replace it do speak with your dealer or with us directly and we’ll see if we can work out a deal for you.

Depending on the output of your USB charger it can take up to 48 hours to fully charge.

Chances are that the LED is actually working, the LED in the Tremor is deliberately very very dull, you won’t be able to see it during the middle of the day. If you put your Tremor in water at night then you will be able to see the LED, this is exactly how we want it to be.

If the electronics in your Tremor are not working correctly and you’ve confirmed the battery is charged and there is no damage to the lure then please contact us to investigate. We ask that you return your Tremor to us, we will check it over if we can get it working we will send it back to you, if we can’t get it working then we will send you a new replacement. When you send a lure back please ensure that you include a note that describes the issue, has your name, return address, email and phone number. 

LED FAQ

This can happen especially when you’ve been using in Saltwater which is very conductive, give your Balista’s a good wash in clean water after you’ve been using in Saltwater. Also ensure that the lure is dry and not touching hooks from other lures. If the lure is still flashing there is one last thing you can try, take the hooks off the lure and then give the lure a solid whack onto a wood surface, this jolt will often loosen a dry weld on the circuit board and the lure will work perfectly from there on. If your lure still will not stop flashing take a 10 second video and email it to us and we will initiate the warranty process.

The only Balista model that is rechargeable is the Tremor. Once the battery has gone flat you’ve got yourself a top quality lure that no longer has LED but should still be used.

The most common cause of an LED going flat (and we’ve been guilty of it ourselves) is storing the Balista LED lures in the same tackle compartment with other lures, when the hooks are touching the hooks from other lures this will activate the LED in your tackle box and run the batteries flat. This will also happen if there is moisture in the compartment where you’re storing the lure, ensure you keep the storage compartment dry to avoid the LED running when you’re not using and running the battery flat. If you do get moisture in the tackle compartment leave it open for a few hours to dry out.

If the LED is not working straight out of the packet that is applicable for a warranty.

If you buy a Balista lure and find that the LED isn’t working straight out of the packet you can return it to your point of purchase for a replacement.

If your Balista lure won’t stop flashing and you’ve given it a wash with fresh water and dried it and then your lure could be faulty. Check for any damage on the lure, if there isn’t any damage on the lure which may have caused the leak take a 10 second video showing the lure out of water continuously flashing, this will be helpful for warranty.

If you’ve purchased from a store take it back to the store and they’ll swap it over. If you’ve purchased online directly from us you are welcome to send it back to us and we’ll replace it. We understand that it’s not that economical to return a single lure if you would rather talk to us about a credit that we can give you to use on the website.

Shipping Policy

Delivery time takes up to 10 working days from the date your payment is received. Please note that our shipping day is Tuesday, for example if you order on a Wednesday your order will dispatch the following Tuesday.

Although every effort is made to ship your Order according to the estimated delivery times provided, estimated ship times may change due to changes in supply or circumstances beyond our control. If your Product has not arrived after the estimated delivery time, please contact us.

Unless otherwise agreed by us, we will deliver your Products to the address indicated on your Order Confirmation.

We will use our reasonable efforts to deliver your Products to you within the estimated delivery time indicated on your Order Confirmation; however, we do not guarantee that we will deliver within this time frame.

Title and risk of loss to all Products will pass to you on delivery.
